New! Commissary Adventure Tour 2010
 Take a trek out to our commissary and learn how we feed our animals. This experience will give you a new understanding of how the Zoo cares for its animals. Meet someone from the Zoo’s Commissary. See what our animals eat and how their diets are determined.
Adventures begin in the Zoo’s Hix Institute just to the right of the Zoo gates where guests will meet an Adventure Guide.
Tour Dates:
Saturday, August 21 (2:00pm), Saturday, August 28 (2:00pm) and Friday, October 8 (2:00pm)
The cost for a Commissary Adventure Tour is $25 per person. Zoo admission and parking are not included. Guests may purchase Zoo admission tickets online or when they arrive at the Zoo. Zoo members receive admission and parking free.

Important Information in Preparation for an Adventure Tour
• Participants of the Commissary Adventure Tour must be at least six years old. If a participant is under the age of 14 years they must be accompanied by a paid adult participant.
• Due to the restricted size in some of the behind the scenes areas, mobility issues may present a challenge. If you or someone in your group has a special need or mobility issue, please contact us in advance so that we can better accommodate the need. Call us at (317) 630-2076.
• Participants of the Commissary Adventure Tour must have a signed Waiver of Liability before beginning the Adventure. Participants under the age of 18 years will need this waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
