Crowned lemurs-Fred Cate

The Indianapolis Zoo also financially supports organizations around the world that work in the area of animal conservation. Organizations that receive our support include: the International Elephant Foundation (IEF), a nonprofit organization contributing expertise and providing funds to support elephant conservation programs worldwide; the International Iguana Foundation (IIF), which actively supports conservation, awareness and scientific programs that enhance the survival of wild iguanas and their habitats; the International Rhino Foundation (IRF) that contributes to rhino conservation by providing technical, administrative and financial services and support for programs that emphasize intensive management and scientific research; and, the Madagascar Fauna Group (MFG), a collective of international zoos, scientists and field researchers who are working with the government of Madagascar to protect large tracts of habitat on this island nation.
