White River State Park
The Indianapolis Zoo is located in White River State Park, a unique urban setting for a state park. At White River State Park, you will find trails, grassy areas and waterways just like you would see at any other state park. However, that is where the similarities end. White River State Park has cultural, educational and recreational attractions to offer something interesting to each visitor. The NCAA Hall of Champions, Indianapolis Zoo, the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art and the Congressional Medal of Honor Memorial are just a few of the attractions in the Park. Be sure to stop by the Visitors Center to start your visit to White River State Park.
White River State Park is also a great place to hold your next event. It's a perfect location for weddings, parties or charity events. Or, if you prefer, just come to one of the many planned events held here, such as Jazz Fest, Indian Market or Taste of Indiana. Besides special events, the Park is also a great place to just relax. So, whether you are taking in an Indians' baseball game or just tossing around a baseball in Celebration Plaza, take the opportunity to enjoy the city skyline at one of Indiana's treasures, White River State Park.
